And I understand the desire to never be rendered helpless again and to topple these people from their positions and force them to face the consequences of their actions. I completely agree with him thinking the Church of Glabados is fucked. I completely agree with him about how fucked up a society Ivalice is. I completely agree with his views on Ivalice's nobility. And while I've obviously never experienced it first hand (thank God), it isn't hard for me to sympathize with Delita's angers and frustrations. I honestly couldn't believe they murdered an innocent girl to kill one man. But as a little kid? I was honestly jaw dropped (and veeery ready to kill Argath). I didn't FINISH it till I was older (much older). I actually first played this game when I was really young. ![]() And if I was Delita, I could maybe forgive given time (it'd be hard, I like to think I could), but I could never bear to be around those responsible. Albeit, not nearly as much as Wiegraf, but still. Quite frankly, the amount of assholery makes me wonder if Delita eventually started throwing up double arches and selling big macs.ĭefinitely goes into He Who Fights Monsters territory. And if he did die that soon after ascending to the throne I doubt he would have been half as remembered as he apparently is.Īnd to protect his claim on the throne, I wouldn't be surprised if he had Orinas murdered shortly after his crowning. People who can and will ultimately talk him up to the masses who could still overthrow him if he seems like a royal dick.īut ultimately it all boils down to Delita wanting to do whatever he wants, to whomever he wants, without taking any personal responsibility whatsoever.Įverything he does and all he gets in comeuppance is a nonfatal stab from a girl he conned into a loveless marriage. Or people who are complacent with the status quo so long as their own goals and objectives are not thrown off. Because they are more use to him alive! To pull off his big plan he needs people who are, at the least, too scared of him to rock the boat. He left out the part where he was going to be turning Cid in and forcing Ramza to fight two otherwise-unnecessary fights.īecause he wanted Ramza to open those floodgates for him. One could easily come to the conclusion that the only reason he didn't throw Ramza under the bus was because he knew what Ramza would do.īecause he told trusting and faithful Ramza exactly enough to make him do it. ![]() Throughout the remaining game we see him kidnapping, murdering, lying, betraying, and blatantly manipulating anyone and everyone that has any interaction with him. ![]() He has, at some point, decided he wants it all and he'll do anything to get there. I understand his world was just shattered, but his comments are uncalled for given that Ramza has never done anything but support him, side with him, and go out of his way to help him. He makes it very clear during the battle at the fort that he will be coming for Ramza in short order, just as soon as their mutual enemy is gone. I tend to view Delita as, well, an asshole.Ĭhapter 1, he's committed to his strong friendship with Ramza and he's a bit of a protective older brother.
